“Ask SCORE” Offers Sound Small Business Advice
By Steve Ferguson / Chapter Chair / NWA SCORE
On behalf of NWA SCORE, I thank Biz2Biz for the opportunity to expand our reach in the business community. And welcome, readers, to “Ask SCORE.”
If you dream of someday owning your own business, or if you’re already an entrepreneur and want to sharpen your management skills, keep an eye on this space.
SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business” is a nonprofit association dedicated to the success of small business in America and is a Resource Partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration. The “Ask SCORE” columns address a wide range of business topics and provide insights into how to address particular business situations or issues. The columns also provide a sample of the kind of business advice an entrepreneur can expect from a SCORE business counselor.
Even with these regular columns, there are many topics that may never be covered—or not covered in a manner that is timely to your needs. And there are many other topics and issues small business owners need to consider. We encourage you to call NWA SCORE for assistance. Likewise, if you have a specific question or topic you’d like us to address in this column please contact us by email.
Our volunteer business counselors donate their time and expertise to provide advice, explanations and information about small business operations and ownership. SCORE business counselors are working and retired business owners, executives and managers who have real-world knowledge and experience to share with you.
Counselors also have access to wide variety of resources to assist you with very particular problems, and have available to all clients a variety of printed materials, booklets, and guides in both English and Spanish.
All SCORE counseling is offered as a free and confidential community service.
To learn more about SCORE counseling services or to arrange to meet with a volunteer, you may contact us at the following: NWA SCORE, 479-725-1809, info@nwascore.org. www.nwascore.org
